SURGE is a bitingly funny one-man show about the perils of living in an uncertain and dangerous world. SURGE was written in the midst of the Military surge in Iraq in 2007. "It's hard to argue that we've made much progress regarding the underlying problems we face in a post-9/11 world, or that we, as a society, are less conflicted, confused and (sometimes justifiably, sometimes not) downright angry," Stezin elaborates. "It's interesting that the present political season has tapped in to that sentiment full throttle." Heralded by The Washington Post as the architect of "engrossing," "compelling," and "ridiculously funny" plays, Stezin's latest project features legendary actor Ed Asner's return to sitcom television.
